Antique Edwardian Engagement Ring #VR240906-3
A romantic Buttercup style solitaire engagement ring from the Edwardian era. A white facing .46 ct, I color VS1 Old European cut diamond sparkles beautifully in this six prong setting. The buttercup style originates in the Victorian era. Floral themes were ubiquitous in art and design during this era and elements of these themes continued well into the 20th C. The graceful shoulders also embellished with a stylized heart motif and flare up to meet the crown of this special ring. There is a maker's hallmark on the inside of the band that indicates the manufacturer of the ring was Allsopp Bros. of Newark, NJ during the early years of the 20th C. Made in 14k yellow gold and is currently a size 7 and can be resized.
