The ring by Edward Oakes is beautifully designed and masterfully handcrafted. Centrally set with a lively brilliant lemon color citrine upon a gallery of floral designs and the signature oak leaves leading down to a double band of polished gold shank. Edward Oakes started his career in Massachusetts in 1917, manufacturing only one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry. Oakes embellished his jewelry with gemstones such as citrines, aquamarines, peridot, and amethysts. He used slightly greenish-colored gold to give his pieces their distinct look, and although some of his pieces are signed Oakes, most of them are recognizable by the oak leaves, which he always incorporated in every piece he designed.
