The Victorian era lasted for over 60 years and included a wide array of jewelry making styles. But sentimentality and youthful romance were overarching themes. This ring was made circa 1880s and feautures a bright and lovely antique Old European cut natural diamond.This fiery stone weighs 1.34 cts and is K color, SI1 clarity. with GIA Report #1236632235. It is nestled down in a Buttercup style setting and held by eight grooved prongs. Scrolled shoulders, reminiscent of Ionic columns, frame the flower-shaped head. Running down the top of the cigar band shaped ring band is a geometric pattern with black enamel. Some of the enamel has worn away during this unique engagement ring's 140 years of life. The ring is made in a light 14k Rose gold and is currently a size 5 3/4. Some resizing is possible. Please inquire.
