Victorian Solitaire Engagement Ring #VR240906-6

A lovely antique engagement ring from the Victorian era. A bright, beautifully faceted .27 ct Old European cut diamond is set with six prongs in this cut down style ring, also known as a Belcher setting (named for the originator of the style). The bright and sparkling diamond (H/VS2) sits nice and low on the hand, making it perfect for everyday wear. This solitaire style also pairs wonderfully with a large number of styles of wedding bands. Made in 14k yellow gold and has a very nice patina. There is a maker's hallmark inside of the band which indicates that the ring was made by the Ripley-Howland Manufacturing Co of Boston, MA during the late 1800s. Currently a size 8 and can be resized, which is included with purchase.
